Rainstorm cause outages in the Distribution system. - PDS

Ghana's energy distribution company, Power Distribution Services, (PDS) blames the downpour of rain on Sunday evening accross the country as the cause of power outages experienced in some parts of the country.

They revealed that, engineers are working assiduously to rectify faults and restore power.

They also urged those affected by the power outage to call the service line to have their problems addressed.

"The inconvenience caused due to this natural occurrence is very much regretted."
PDS added.

Last week, the company apologized for a similar situation after a rainstorm.

Sunday's rainstorm which lasted several hours claimed at least 5 lives according to National Disaster Management Organization ( NADMO).
