A young man identified as an outsider has been caught trying to steal a student's bag.
Following incidents of theft cases recorded during last semester's examinations and numerous complains from students with respect of they loosing their bags and valuable items, the internal security of GIJ introduced new measures to reduce the issue of theft on campus.
Some of which are; putting number tags on the bags of students mostly in the library and when going to write exams for easy recognition and positioning security officers to protect the items.
According to the students', this is the third time the man has been caught trying to steal students' valuables.
GIJ officials and the security officers have escorted the man to the police station.
